Monster of the Week
Card
common
1 player | 1 pack | 5 minutes OBJECTIVE: Survive the night by defeating the monster in your booster! GET READY: Open a booster and pick a double-faced card (DFC), then set it aside. This is the monster you will face. Discard all ad, token, and art cards. Shuffle the remaining cards into a stack and place it face down to create your library. LET'S PLAY: Play a game of Magic against the monster with the following rule modifications: • You start with zero cards in hand and 20 life. • At the beginning of your upkeep, create a Treasure token. (It's an artifact with ", Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.") The monster doesn't have a life total, mana, or library, and it can only be defeated by removing it from the battlefield twice: once on its front side and once on its transformed side.

An Incubator token is a double-faced token. Its front face is a colorless Incubator artifact with “{2}: Transform this token.” Its back face is a 0/0 colorless Phyrexian artifact creature named Phyrexian Token.
If any of the replacement and/or prevention effects would cause a card to enter the battlefield with its back face up, one of them must be chosen (See rule 701.27, “Transform,” and rule 701.28, “Convert.”). If not, proceed to 616.1e.
Transform
To transform a permanent, turn it over so that its other face is up. Only permanents represented by double-faced tokens and double-faced cards can transform. (See rule 712, “Double-Faced Cards.”)
If a spell or ability instructs a player to transform a permanent that isn’t represented by a double-faced token or a double-faced card, nothing happens.
If a spell or ability instructs a player to transform a permanent, and the face that permanent would transform into is an instant or sorcery face nothing happens.
If an activated or triggered ability of a permanent that isn’t a delayed triggered ability of that permanent tries to transform it, the permanent does so only if it hasn’t transformed or converted since the ability was put onto the stack. If a delayed triggered ability of a permanent tries to transform that permanent, the permanent does so only if it hasn’t transformed or converted since that delayed triggered ability was created. In both cases, if the permanent has already transformed or converted, an instruction to do either is ignored.
If a spell or ability states that a permanent can’t transform, that permanent also can’t convert.
