If a cost associated with a special action, such as a suspend cost or a morph cost, has an {X} or an X in it, the value of X is chosen by the player taking the special action immediately before they pay that cost.

A Royal Role token is a colorless Aura Role enchantment token named Royal with enchant creature and “Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and has ward {1}.”

A player who has a card with suspend in their hand may exile that card. This is a special action. A player can take this action any time they have priority, but only if they could begin to cast that card by putting it onto the stack. See rule 702.62, “Suspend.”

Suspend

To time travel means to choose any number of permanents you control with one or more time counters on them and/or suspended cards you own in exile with one or more time counters on them and, for each of those objects, put a time counter on it or remove a time counter from it. See rule 702.62, “Suspend.”

To cloak a card, turn it face down. It becomes a 2/2 face-down creature card with ward {2}, no name, no subtypes, and no mana cost. Put that card onto the battlefield face down. That permanent is a cloaked permanent for as long as it remains face down. The effect defining its characteristics works while the card is face down and ends when it’s turned face up.

Ward

Triggered abilities use the word "when," "whenever," or "at." They're often written as "[Trigger condition], [effect]."

Turn-based actions and special actions like the normal card draw, combat damage, or turning a face-down creature face up can't be targeted. Mana abilities also can't be targeted.

The last mode can target delayed triggered abilities. Notably, it can target the delayed triggered ability that exiles an unearthed permanent at the beginning of the next end step. If that delayed triggered ability is countered, the unearthed permanent remains on the battlefield indefinitely. It will still be exiled, however, if it would die or otherwise leave the battlefield for any other reason.

Activated abilities contain a colon. They're generally written "[Cost]: [Effect]." Some keyword abilities (such as equip and unearth) are activated abilities and will have colons in their reminder text.
